Having previously operated an office over many years in nearby Bath, global engineering and technical consultancy Vysus Group has returned to the South West with the opening of its latest offices in Bristol.
The office will form the centrepiece for its rapidly expanding suite of offshore wind and submarine cable marine geoscience and assurance services, delivered from within its Survey & GeoEngineering division that has been operational in the offshore energy sectors for over 25 years.
VP Survey & GeoEngineering, Michael Cousins, has relocated to Bristol from Vysus Group’s headquarters in Aberdeen to manage the development of the business and significantly grow the technical team.
“The South West of England is becoming a key hub for the offshore wind industry, with many developers, contractors and consultants located in Bristol and through the M4 corridor to London,” Michael says. “There is a great pool of personnel talent located here which will undoubtedly support our plans to significantly extend our technical team.
“While Bristol will become a core location for us, our clients and service delivery are global in nature. We also have technical teams in Aberdeen, Boston in the US, Australia, and are also looking to establish a Survey & GeoEngineering presence in the Asia Pacific region. These locations will be further supported from our core team of Marine Geophysicists, Geotechnical Engineers, GIS & Data Managers and Surveyors working from or through our hub in Bristol.
“We are particularly excited to be at the forefront of the rapidly developing offshore wind sector in the UK and Europe and look forward to playing a leading role within the renewable energy community located here in Bristol.”
