Global engineering and technical consultancy Vysus Group has completed the sale of its Transport business to French-headquartered global inspection and certification company, CERTIFER.
The move comes as the company restructures the business in response to increasing demand in an ever-broader range of industries, enabling it to further develop and grow its global consulting and technical delivery capability.
Under the new ownership of CERTIFER and its rich history of delivering third party services dedicated to railway systems and guided transport in 23 global locations, the Transport business will be best positioned to realise the next phase of growth and geographic expansion.
David Clark, CEO of Vysus Group, said: “The team has been incredibly successful in developing a market differentiating solution in the transport sector in Scandinavia, however opportunities to scale and further grow the business geographically, have been limited.
“This transfer of ownership is an extremely positive reflection of the reputation of the business and the high calibre of expertise within it. Not only is there a natural fit, but the foundations exist for both parties to flourish and expand the geographical footprint throughout Scandinavia and beyond. Likewise, it affords colleagues greater access to new projects, career progression and opportunities to revolutionise transport infrastructure.”
Pierre KADZIOLA, CEO of CERTIFER, said: “The acquisition of the Transport business of Vysus Group is perfect as it adds to our current portfolio of services, while utilising the expertise of a team that has built a solid and distinguished reputation for delivery in Scandinavia.
“Bringing this expertise into a global organisation will help fulfil our ambitions for growth and further opportunities for both parties. We look forward to welcoming our new colleagues and working together to build on the Transport team’s previous success.”
A carve-out from Lloyd’s Register nearly two years ago, Vysus Group has been strengthening its consulting capabilities worldwide in response to demand both within and outside the energy sector. The sale of its Transport business enables the group to respond to demand from clients in the wider energy, renewables, transition, power, and complex infrastructure sectors, where much of the group’s recent growth has been taking place.
Over the past 25 years, CERTIFER has become a leader in testing, inspection and certification; its strategy has always been to add new services to adapt to the market and needs of the customers. The arrival of the Vysus Transportation team is a key step in adding capacities and strong experience in RAMS, Signaling, Homologation Management and many other new missions. In addition to diversifying its activities, the team strengthens CERTIFER's international presence, which now includes 26 locations and 280 people.
This transfer of ownership is an extremely positive reflection of the reputation of the business and the high calibre of expertise within it.
