Vysus Group is pleased to be among the consulting companies that have been selected to support Abbott Risk Consulting (ARC) Ltd in delivering safety case production and peer review services to Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) under two framework agreements.
DSRL is responsible for the safe and secure clean-up of the Dounreay nuclear site and is funded by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) to deliver the site closure programme.
The initial agreements cover a 2-year period, with the option for two further 1-year extensions. DSRL estimate the total value of package orders to be placed through these two frameworks over the four-year duration to be £8-10 million.
In addition to core safety case work, the frameworks cover specialist services including Human Factors, Radiation Shielding, Criticality Assessment and Engineering Substantiation. ARC’s significant decommissioning safety case expertise and supporting technical skills, supplemented by those of Vysus Group and other carefully selected supply chain companies, enable a holistic and high value service offering to DSRL.
