It has been a busy year for the Vysus Group and Siccar teams behind our Energy Transition Databox solution.
Since we launched our emissions management service at the end of 2022, we have been working hard to spread the word and develop our offering across the energy sector and beyond.
The Energy Transition Databox combines Vysus’ technical engineering expertise with Siccar’s enterprise data sharing platform to enable clients manage and securely share accurate and trusted emissions data across their supply chains.
Among the highlights in 2023 was the completion of a pilot alongside global completions specialists, Tendeka, a Taqa company. By leveraging the platform, Tendeka obtained verifiable emissions data, providing an accurate and assured baseline for complying with regulations and prioritising decarbonisation initiatives.
The Databox team is in the closing stages of pilot projects with several other major operators and service companies across the energy sector.
Industry conferences and events have played a key role in the team’s marketing efforts for the year, with delegates attending the Annual Carbon Tracking and Reporting Conference in Houston, presenting at the OEUK Digital Conference, running at lunchtime learning session and first public demonstration at Offshore Europe, hosting a booth at ADIPEC, and speaking at the OGV Energy Live Hydrogen & CCUS LinkedIn event.
Most recently, the Siccar team has been talking about the importance of obtaining accurate and verifiable emissions data at COP 28 in Dubai, as part of the Scottish delegation.
Siccar’s Head of Growth, Jonathan Jones, said: “Completing our first pilot programme successfully has validated that our Databox solution can digitally gather scope 1, 2, & 3 emissions data and maintain the rigour needed to meet the requirements of an audit equivalent to UK ETC standards.
“This milestone in addition to the presentations and demos we have delivered and the conversations we have had across the globe, has really helped us to demonstrate the capability of Databox in helping companies to meet the increasing emissions data management and reporting challenges verifiably, accurately and securely – and we look forward to building on this progress in 2024 and beyond.”
