A collaboration between pioneering geoenergy company dCarbonX and well management specialist Senergy Wells, a Vysus Group company, has now commenced.
dCarbonX originates and develops hydrogen, natural gas, and carbon capture & storage (CCS) assets for the evolving requirements of the energy transition. Senergy Wells’ knowledge of the entire asset lifecycle, from exploration to decommissioning, ensures the delivery of a fully integrated offering for energy operators.
The partnership, focusing initially on the UK and Ireland, will see Senergy Wells develop project plans for drilling at dCarbonX’s selected subsurface geoenergy sites. This includes the sharing of data, intelligence, and resources to enable greater collaboration.
Commenting on the new venture, SVP Senergy Wells, Matt Rothnie, said: “Our new partnership with dCarbonX reflects our ambitions to be at the forefront of enabling the energy transition and allows us to build on our established track record of delivering alternative energy projects. The collective experience and expertise of the Senergy Wells and dCarbonX teams gives us a unique breadth of capabilities and we look forward to building on our first project and working together to support future renewable energy systems.”
Tony O’Reilly, dCarbonX CEO, added: “The energy transition is complex and presents various unique challenges for the energy industry. Working in partnership with Senergy Wells provides the perfect opportunity for us to facilitate a completely integrated offering for energy consumers, from asset conception and exploration right the way through to end of lifecycle planning.
“With hydrogen and CCS set to be important components of the Energy Transition, dCarbonX’s experience, in conjunction with Senergy Wells’ decades of expertise in drilling and well management, put us in a prime position to deliver the clean energy future we all aspire to.”
The Senergy Wells partnership is the latest in dCarbonX’s impressive partnership portfolio, having already formed strategic alliances and joint ventures with the likes of Snam, ESB, CCG, Fugro and Pentair amongst others.
Our new partnership with dCarbonX reflects our ambitions to be at the forefront of enabling the energy transition and allows us to build on our established track record of delivering alternative energy projects.
