The award is for the cumulative involvement David has had as a volunteer, local section chair, division chair, national treasurer, and president in 2012, and follows David’s recent appointment to the Society for Maintenance & Reliability Professionals board of directors.
During his time with the AIChE, David has been involved with restructuring projects, two office relocations, the development of two strategic plans, the hiring of an executive director, leading a national meeting, and overseeing investment policy.
On his award, David commented: “The vibrancy and health of the AIChE is a realisation of the vision from my service starting as chair of the Delaware Valley Section in 1989 and culminating as president in 2012.
“I am honoured and proud to be a part of this legacy. It’s hard to express what this means to me as I look back on my contributions that allow our profession to serve the needs of our society well into the future.”
Steve Masson, Asset Management Consultancy Director for the Americas, added: “I would like to extend our overwhelming congratulations to David on his award win, recognising his great achievements within the industry.
“David is a model professional and this accolade is a testament to his character and skills as an engineer. We pride ourselves on being able to have industry and sector experts within our teams, and David exemplifies this.”
