Eni has awardedVysus Group's Nederland BV a new tender. The latest contract is for coverage of rigs contracted by Eni globally for the next three (3) years, and represents a continuation of the strong relationship between both companies since 2007.
Mark Watson, Vysus Group's Business Development Manager of Drilling Integrity Services, says: "This contract award with Eni is testament to the high-standard of service we have provided for over a decade. We look forward to working with Eni and other operators as drilling operations continue to increase."
The company is experiencing increased demand for its rig inspection services including rig surveys and crew competency management through to dynamic positioning, drilling systems assessments, BOP and well control surveys.
"Our integrated package of services means we can help operators such as Eni make the right choice of drilling rig from the outset," highlights Watson. "The wrong choice could cost millions if equipment performance is poor. Our technical expertise helps to reduce these risks for Eni right through to the acceptance and operational phase of the project."
During the downturn in oil and gas, a large number of the global drilling rig fleet experienced low or zero utilization, and many were placed in a cold or warm stack waiting for the market to upturn. With drilling activity steadily increasing, operators are also increasing rig inspections to help identify and reduce operational and safety risks caused by fatigued, damaged or previously untested rig equipment and systems. This includes checking the robustness of the rig owners' company management systems.
Vysus Group is providing support on a variety of rigs including platform, land, barge, jack-up, semi-submersible and drill ships.
