Vysus Group SEASAFE is a leading loading and stability software package that provides powerful, modern statutory compliance tools for design, operation and cargo planning. Enabling the verification of stability, longitudinal strength and other naval architectural aspects of all vessel types from passenger ships, heavy-lift vessels and FPSO’s to offshore structures, semi-submersibles and jack-up rigs.
The Vysus Group SEASAFE system has evolved over more than 50 years, built on the experience and strength of pioneering naval architecture software products, such as SIKOB, PLF and GStab. The applications provide accurate and repeatable calculations, both on board and ashore, with both major classification societies and naval authorities using the technology for statutory compliance checks there is added confidence in the robustness of the results.
The extremely user-friendly software is easy to learn, reducing training time and costs and enabling implementation faster than with other competing systems. The customisable systems allow selection of features needed to create the perfect bespoke package tailored to a client’s particular business needs. Within the offshore sector, examples of such features include nomograms (which allow leg loads for different environmental parameters such as wind speed, sea current and water depth), penetration-versus-leg-reaction diagrams, deck load management for jack-up rigs and crane operations (including dual-lift for heavy-lift vessels), a loading/discharging sequence planner and connected/disconnected modes on FPSO’s.
The software also contains special features for moored and dynamically positioned vessels, and provides additional functionality to automate the day-to-day tasks carried out on board.
As ships and offshore assets become increasingly connected, Vysus Group SEASAFE offers valuable integration with other systems. Integrating with other data and automation systems provides the opportunity for more real-time data for informed decision making, leading to improved efficiency and safety.
In addition, assets can also be linked directly to Vysus Group’s Ship Emergency Response Service (SERS), which uses Vysus Group SEASAFE for vessel modelling and calculations in the event of a grounding, collision, explosion or other unexpected incident. Data on stability, water ingress, longitudinal strength and other critical factors can be sent directly from the asset to Vysus Group’s dedicated team of naval architects and specialists, enabling them to respond quickly and effectively.
Vysus Group SEASAFE Onboard is a loading computer program for use on ships and offshore structures. Vysus Group SEASAFE Onboard is equally applicable to both existing and new build vessels. It is a user-friendly, graphics-oriented, ribbon-based Windows application which performs all statutory required calculations on-board or on-shore. The software uses a fully functional interactive 2D/3D model of the vessel to display ship attitudes, cargoes, reference points, damages, points of grounding, draft marks and other vital data. It is also compliant with the new International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) Type 3 loading computer regulations.
Vysus Group SEASAFE Professional, referred to as Vysus Group SEASAFE Pro, is a design and analysis tool. This is a fully-integrated CAD-type graphics-driven package for 3D modelling and naval architectural calculations. The Vysus Group SEASAFE Pro system focuses on rapid development of the 3D vessel model, which is suitable for running the necessary calculations for the production of related trim and stability.
